The patrol zone is a daily special event in Naval Action. The event is confined to a certain area where the damage inflicted to or sinking other ships is accounted for and special rewards can be claimed for it.
Each patrol zone allows only ships up to a certain size to participate. Larger player controlled ships participating in combat within the patrol zone area create normal open world battles and no rewards will be granted for this battle.
The patrol zone is marked on the map by two concentric white circles marked with crossed swords. There is one patrol zone on the map in close to one of the following ports:
|Shroud Cay||5th rate||yes|
|Deadman's Cay||5th rate||yes|
|La Mona||4th rate||no|
The location changes each day.
The outer white circle on the map indicates the patrol zone. When entering this zone, players will see a "P" symbol in the compass. Also, when clicking on another player, a "P" symbol will show that when he is in the patrol zone.
In the patrol zone the same Rules of Engagement apply as in open world.
Damage done to enemy players is counted and rewarded with combat medals.
Solo patrol zone
The inner white circle on the map indicates the patrol zone. When entering this zone, players will see a "SP" symbol in the compass. Also, when clicking on another player, a "SP" symbol will show that when he is in the solo patrol zone.
The solo patrol zone is a duelling ground for players sailing in equal rated ships. For example, if you are in a fifth rate ship, you can tag only another fifth rate ship. Battles are locked immediately. No other players are dragged into battle.
Sinking an enemy players in the solo patrol zone is rewarded with combat medals.
Rewards for the patrol zone or the solo patrol zone are claimed in port in the missions screen under events. Rewards can be claimed only once per day.
